The Truth About "Opportunity Unlimited"

This Post is intended to inform you about the document titled "American Income Life Opportunity Unlimited" which is given to you in a folder after your second "group interview" at the AIL office. The document looks something like this:

American Income Life
Opportunity Unlimited

Start Up Investment $645
Start Up Investment Refunded -$645
Actual Start up Cost $0

Then it states:

This is all inclusive of Licensing School, use of licensing materials, Cram Class, Study Time, Pre Test, Admin. Fee, State of California Insurance Exam and State Appointment, supply box, presentation book, plus all materials to get started.

Then it states:

(There is an additional $70 fee for Live Scan fingerprinting)

Then it states:

*If offered a position with AIL, you must be prepared to enroll in licensing school and bring the aforementioned Start-Up fees. Start-Up investment fees are refunded after six months from date of first application. All fees are non-refundable before tHE six months, you must be employed with the Name of Agency at the time to receive the refund and must maintain Company required net/gross retention as well as Agency minimum production standards.

- WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU -

1. You are being charged for State Licensing Classes through a State Approved Licensing School.
2.. You are being charged for the AIL office to train you to sell their product. This is a 2-week training program where you pay them to go to their classes and have their managers teach you how to sell their products using their scripts.
3. You are being charged for a small file box, file folders, pens, and a road-map which I believe the Agency actually makes a profit off of.
4. If you do not stay with AIL for six months, sell enough to bonus so that managers bonus, have an 86% retention rate on all policies you sell, and move into a management position where you are interviewing and training agents and also have agents under you, the company will not pay you anything and you get no refund.
5. If you do stay for six-months, you are NOT refunded the entire amount - the Agency will refund only that portion of monies applied to State Licensing and does not refund for the other parts. The effect is you will only recoup about %80-%85 of your $645.

ISN'T IT FUNNY HOW AMERICAN INCOME LIFE TENDS TO LEAVE OUT FACTS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOUR MAKING AN INFORMED DECISION AND INTENTIONALLY SKEW ALL INFORMATION IN A LIGHT MOST FAVORABLE TO THEM?

  2. The same thing happened to me a few years back. I thought I was being hired for a well compensated position but I was fooled. Be careful.

  3. First, I want to say that I have been with American Income for 7 months and honestly the only things I see online are from the
weak people that couldnt make it because there excuse was stronger than there "why" they want to succeed. If you think you can or you think you can't, your right. And no matter what somebody says online shouldn't determine your success with a company. I made 73k in 7 months. Learn it and stop letting other people determine your success with your business.
